On 3rd May, 2025 in Dedza Katsepa village, Mpingo Area, group Village Head kadziwika, T/A Chilikumwendo YPES trained tchathu youth hub in Biomass Briquttes Production. The event aimed to equip the Katchanthu Youth Hub members with knowledge and practical skills on how to make long last briquette from dry vegetative materials like groundnut shells, maize stock remains and others, to promote sustainable energy solutions, reduce deforestation, empower young people in environmental protection and how they can benefit from this program. we were pleased to see over 40 hub members attend the training and we anticipate over 30 jobs created through this knowledge imparted in them.
We further reminded them with the dangers that come with gender based violence and they were familiarized with safeguarding messages, abuse and reporting mechanisms.
