Creation of YPES
A number of formal and informal meetings of active members of YPPF were held in July-August 2006 to discuss the future of YPPF, and to plan a grand Jashan-e-Azadi show. The meetings were attended by around 20-25 members (in total), who had been actively participating in YPPF activities.

Based on our discussions, we came up with the idea of creating YPES - A friendly community of Pakistani Youth. A team of 14 founding members was formed. The same team worked on preparing a draft of mission and objectives for the new society. Since then, a lot of members have committed there time and efforts for YPES's cause.


Majid Rafiq (General Secretary)

Majid is in UAE since early 1980s and has lived all his life here. He holds BCIS degree and works at Citibank in IT department. He was the member of YPPF's organizing team for Independence Day celebrations for 2005. In 2006, Majid has played a key role as Event Manager in organizing Basant Festival. Majid has been a pivotal member in ALL YPES activities since its creation in August 2006. In August 2006, Majid was elected as DGS of YPES and later in January 2007 Majid led YPES being the General Secretary .

Fatima Atta (Deputy General Secretary)

Fatima an active member of YPES, who participated in all the activities that have been held in YPES so far. She has been in UAE since 1980’s and is currently pursuing a career in IT.

Shuaib Iqbal Nazir (Portal Admin)

Shuaib is in UAE since March 2004. Shuaib started working for Pakistani Community as a YPPF member in 2005. Later he became manager of YPPF's MSN community. When YPES was launched in August 2006, Shuaib introduced a YPES's website aimed to build a friendly community of Pakistani Expatriates. Since then Shuaib has activly managed YPES website affairs.
